Key Duties & Responsibilities
As a Waste Operative, your day will be varied and physically active. You will be trained to handle all aspects of airport waste logistics safely and efficiently.
Waste Collection & Segregation
Perform scheduled and ad-hoc collections of general waste, recycling, and food waste from designated points across the airport terminal, offices, and landside areas. Correctly segregate materials according to strict recycling protocols to maximise landfill diversion rates.
Compactor & Equipment Operation
Safely operate waste compactors, balers, and other mechanical handling equipment (with training). Conduct basic pre-use checks and report any faults immediately to the supervisor. This technical aspect distinguishes the role from a general Laundry Attendant / Operative position.
Bin Maintenance & Hygiene
