Your Day-to-Day Duties
- Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unroll goods from delivery vehicles using manual handling techniques or equipment like pump trucks.
- Order Picking and Packing: Accurately pick products from warehouse locations using pick sheets or RF scanners, and prepare them for dispatch, ensuring all orders are complete and correctly labelled.
- Stock Control and Replenishment: Monitor stock levels on the warehouse floor, conduct regular stock counts, and replenish picking locations from bulk storage. This is similar to the duties of an Immediate Stock Replenisher.
- Inventory Management: Assist with periodic stock takes and cycle counts, reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor to maintain high inventory accuracy.
- Maintaining a Safe & Clean Environment: Adhere strictly to all Health & Safety regulations, including safe manual handling, keeping aisles clear, and participating in daily cleaning routines. Some tasks may overlap with those of a Maintenance Operative in ensuring the workspace is operational.
- Using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS): Log receipt and dispatch of goods using computer systems or handheld devices, ensuring all data entry is accurate and timely.
