Key Responsibilities & Duties
As the Site Manager/Supervisor, you will have full operational control of the site. Your day-to-day will be dynamic, requiring strong decision-making and people skills.
- Overall Site Leadership & Safety: Assume full responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of all personnel on site. Conduct daily toolbox talks, ensure strict compliance with all HSE regulations (including CDM 2015), and maintain impeccable site safety records. You will be the exemplar of a safety-first culture.
- Programme & Quality Management: Drive the project to meet critical milestones and the master programme. Implement and enforce rigorous quality control procedures, ensuring all work meets specifications and approved drawings. Proactively identify and mitigate risks to programme and budget.
- Subcontractor & Labour Coordination: Manage the interface between multiple trade contractors, our direct labour force, and client representatives. Chair weekly coordination meetings, manage site logistics, and resolve on-site conflicts efficiently to maintain productivity.
- Commercial & Administrative Oversight: Monitor site costs against budget, authorise timesheets for direct labour, and assist the project surveyor with variations and measurements. Ensure all site documentation (RAMs, permits, inspection records) is complete, accurate, and filed systematically.
- Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the professional face of the company on site. Provide clear, regular updates to the client and project manager. Build strong, trusting relationships with all stakeholders to facilitate smooth project delivery and identify future opportunities.
